Pedimos coquetéis junto ao areal e chegaram com a rapidez e o cuidado de um bar de hotel de referência. Nadar no Mar de Creta com aquela clareza e temperatura a que a ilha nos habitua é, simplesmente, um dos prazeres mais puros que uma viagem à Grécia pode oferecer.
Para as famílias com crianças, o resort tem uma resposta que impressiona pela completude. O Kids World inclui um parque aquático com quatro escorregas rápidos e uma piscina de dimensão generosa — o Waterland —, um clube de crianças e adolescentes com atividades organizadas ao longo do dia, campo de jogos exterior e área de snacks. A variedade é impressionante, mas o que verdadeiramente nos surpreendeu foi a qualidade dos produtos e o facto de tudo ser preparado com cuidado evidente. À tarde, a oferta mantém-se com saladas frescas, fruta da época, snacks variados e a pizza do restaurante italiano Piatto, que se revelou uma descoberta feliz. Há algo de muito satisfatório em encontrar uma cozinha de buffet que não cede à tentação de quantidade em detrimento da qualidade.
Para os restaurantes à la carte, é necessário fazer reserva antecipada, mas o processo é simples e acessível. Durante a nossa estadia de quatro dias, conseguimos jantar em dois deles: o restaurante asiático Nami e o Chef's Grill, o steakhouse do resort. Este último ficou-nos na memória não apenas pela qualidade das carnes, mas pela vista sobre o mar ao entardecer — um cenário que transforma qualquer jantar num momento memorável. O Nami surpreendeu pela autenticidade dos sabores e pela forma como a cozinha asiática foi integrada numa oferta gastronómica de matriz mediterrânica. Há uma gentileza genuína nas interações, uma disponibilidade para ajudar que não parece ensaiada, e uma eficiência que torna tudo mais fácil. Desde o restaurante até à praia, passando pelo bar e pelos espaços comuns, a experiência de serviço manteve-se consistente e de qualidade — algo que reconhecemos como difícil de alcançar numa operação desta escala.

The main buffet is one of the finest we have encountered at any hotel. The variety is impressive, but what truly surprised us was the quality of the ingredients and the evident care with which everything was prepared. In the afternoons, the offering continues with fresh salads, seasonal fruit, various snacks and the pizza from the Italian restaurant Piatto, which turned out to be a very happy discovery. There is something genuinely satisfying about finding a buffet kitchen that refuses to sacrifice quality in favour of quantity.
For the à la carte restaurants, advance booking is required, but the process is straightforward and easy to navigate. During our four-day stay, we managed to dine at two of them: the Asian restaurant Nami and Chef's Grill, the resort's steakhouse. From the restaurant to the beach, through the bar and the common areas, the quality of service remained consistent — something we recognise as difficult to sustain in an operation of this size.
